As we begin to write, let us make an essential question: To whom are we writing? The text and its style will be
different if the relationship is in the hands of the board of directors of a bank, a team of colleagues to a
common project or the school principal.

In any case, there are a few basic rules for lab report writing, the same that you find in this site: read a few
sentences subordinate, no beating around the bush or bombastic style, a few adverbs, and limited use of
abstract words. The technical jargon is allowed only if the report will be read by experts.

The language must be precise to describe a phenomenon if you used a term, if you want to
use abbreviations and acronyms the first time you need to explain in detail what they mean, if you quote from
other languages, check the related vocabularies, so check the spelling.

There are many things more which one can consider while writing any report that has to be submitted in the college but the above are the basic. So start with the basics and further tips will be collected to present here some next time.
